Perfectly positioned for discovering all that the Northumberland coast has to offer, this gorgeous four-bedroom holiday home provides a stand-out base for any group of up to eight holidaymakers. The property is located in Craster, a fishing village with a picturesque harbour, a local gastro-pub, an art gallery, coffee shop and a Castle plus direct access onto England's Coastal Path; Craster is also the home of the famous smoked kippers!
From here you can follow the coastal pathway up to Dunstanburgh Castle (1.5 miles), a striking heritage location that’s managed by English Heritage. Another attraction close by is Howick Hall (2.5 miles), a delectable country house with marvellous gardens, the home of the Grey family, you can enjoy a pot of Earl Grey in their lovely tea rooms. For a typical beach day, there’s a very small stretch of sand right here at Craster but you'll want to visit Embleton Beach (2.5 miles) and Longhoughton (Sugar Sands) (5.5 miles) to name just a few.
Reclaimed wood fittings, stylish furnishings and a quirky interior make this two-storey holiday cottage a real gem on the Northumberland coast. Head inside, you’ll find ample space in the entrance hall to leave coats and sandy shoes after time on the beach. Step on through to the open plan kitchen/dining/sitting area and you'll find an exposed brick fireplace, home to a wood burner for cosy nights in; a Smart TV and exceptionally comfortable sofas to sink into when relaxing together. The kitchen is a generously proportioned room with slate flooring, reclaimed wooden fixtures and a Belfast sink. As well as a utility room and a handy downstairs WC, the ground floor also has a king-size bedroom with its own en-suite shower room. A second king-size bedroom with an en-suite shower room can also be found on the first floor, along with two further twin bedrooms and a family bathroom with a roll-top bath with hand-held shower.
There is a small bistro table outside the backdoor for a quick morning coffe, but the special outside space is a bit further along the row of private gardens and from the Coastguard Cottage garden and raised deck you can admire views across the harbour, fantastic for those warmer afternoons and evenings.
